Link embeds

Dovetail supports previews for public links from Figma, Google Docs, Google Drive, Loom, Maze, Miro, Mural, Notion, Office Forms, Vimeo and YouTube. Embed your public links into the editor as either text, cards or previews.

• To embed a link in the editor of an insight, on home, or in a project overview, ensure the link is public (i.e. not paywalled or requiring user permissions).

• From there, copy the URL from your chosen app, paste it into Dovetail and select whether to display your link as Text, Card, or full Preview.

• You can change how an embed is displayed when in edit mode by clicking on the embed and selecting a new display option.

Embedding a link as a preview or card currently only works on links that don't require authentication.
